How to read the table

Competition score

Higher means more crowded. Lower is better.

Average reviews

Lower is better here. It measures how strong the established sellers are, and a low number means nobody has built a moat yet.

Average rating

Higher means real buyers, not just searches with no sales.

Price band

A tight band means pricing is settled and you can compete. A wide band means a price war.

The opportunity score is our own weighting (competition gap 40%, incumbent weakness 25%, real demand 20%, price clarity 15%). It exists to order these rows, so you read the top first. It is not a platform metric and it does not predict sales.

The clearest read on this data

statement earrings is the one that stands out. Competition is in the lowest band, the average review count is only 252 - almost nobody has built a moat - the price band is tight atHKD 89.58 with a deviation of only HKD 28.43, and the rating of 4.31 confirms people are actually buying.

gold earrings is the low-price volume option: HKD 94.97 average, which is where a new seller can move fastest.

macrame wall hanging sits at HKD 281.35 with a settled price band - a better fit if you have a sourcing edge.

The ones to stay out of

High competition, established sellers, and in some cases a price band so wide it turns into a price war.

charm bracelet is the clearest example of what to avoid: competition at the maximum, and a price deviation of HKD 346.30 against an average ofHKD 316.24. Saturated supply and scattered pricing at once is how a new listing gets buried.

What this report cannot tell you

The source is Amazon, not Etsy. We use Amazon search behaviour as a proxy for Etsy buyer intent. That is a reasonable assumption and we have not proved it. Use this as a filter, not as a verdict.

It is a snapshot from 2026-10-30. The collection route is currently blocked, so this cannot be refreshed on a schedule. It is not a live feed and we are not going to pretend it is.

23 sub-niches in 3 categories is not a market map. It is enough to show the method works and to find the obvious wins. It is not enough to promise coverage of every category on Etsy.

Questions people actually ask

Is this really free?

Yes. This report costs nothing and there is no card. Reading it does not start a subscription. If you want the tool that rewrites a listing once you have picked a niche, that is the separate free tier.

Where does the data come from?

One harvest run on 2026-10-30T03:20:30.911Z: 23 keyword seeds, 1128 sampled live listings, every request returning HTTP 200. For each seed we recorded average price, price deviation, average rating, average review count, title length and a competition score.

Is this Etsy data?

No, and we want to be precise about that. The harvest ran against Amazon search results, because the collection route we had was reachable and Etsy was not. We treat Amazon buyer intent as a reasonable proxy for Etsy buyer intent, but we have not proven that. Treat the ranking as a filter, not as a verdict.

Is this data live?

No. It is a snapshot from 2026-10-30T03:20:30.911Z. The collection route is currently blocked, so we cannot refresh it on a schedule. If we get the collection working again this page will carry a date you can check against.

What currency are the prices in?

The source data is in HKD, so that is what we show. If you sell in the US or UK, convert before you set your own price - and remember that platform fees are charged on the converted amount, not on this figure.

How should I use the opportunity score?

It is our own weighting, designed for one job: ordering the rows so you read the top of the list first. It is not a platform metric and it does not predict sales. Read the raw columns next to it - competition, average reviews and the price band - and decide for yourself.
